Anne Schwartz, BSN, RN, FCN

Anne Schwartz has been a nurse with Nurses Serving our Neighbors since 2019. Anne’s background in nursing is pediatric hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant. She has worked up and down the east coast in clinic and hospital settings. Anne has always had a passion to serve the underserved. During her senior year in college, she studied Community Health Nursing in Kumasi, Ghana, West Africa. After graduating with her BSN, she went back to work in Ho, Africa as a clinical nurse at Ho Municipal Hospital. When Anne was a nurse in Philadelphia, she completed a Community Nursing Advocacy Fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. While living in Durham, NC and working at Duke Medical Center, she volunteered every Friday morning at the Durham Urban Ministries.

Anne attended Georgia State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She completed a masters level certification in Core Public Health concepts from the University of North Carolina. Anne is married to Matt, and they have 3 sons: Luke, Jacob, and Charlie Russell. She also has 3 fur-babies: 1 dog, Reeses, and 2 cats, Moses and Maisy. In her free time, she enjoys reading, mountain biking and hiking, running with Reeses and laughing with friends and family.
